Garbs by Amy is a small, handmade clothing business, started in 2025. Using primarily upcycled materials and a vintage White sewing machine that belonged to her great grandmother, Amy creates one-of-a-kind clothing for babies and kiddos.
Working from a rotating collection of curated sewing patterns, both purchased and originally designed, each piece of clothing is hand-crafted for quality and unique style. No two garments end up the same, and by repurposing fabric and materials when possible, the goal is to cut down waste in the textile industry and promote reuse of goods.
Amy is a former preschool teacher now full-time parent. She started Garbs with the support of her husband, two small kids at home, and an abundance of creative energy and fabric. By planting her sewing desk in the middle of their house, she was able to spend any spare moment honing her skills. She has since moved her little shop into their attic room where she still sews each individual garb.
